On Tuesday, Dec. 31, the club hosts A Very Gatsby New Year’s Eve for the third year.
The party starts at 8 p.m., is open to the public and is expected to sell out. All inclusive tickets grant guests access to Nashville’s premier private membership club, high above Downtown Nashville, plus open bar access with beer, wine and spirits; an appetizer buffet; party favors; a midnight champagne toast; live entertainment; a DJ; and the very best view of Downtown Nashville. Breakfast items will be available for purchase in the building lobby following the party.
The City Club’s Gatsby party won’t have quite the excess of Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 movie, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire, but you can still expect a darned good party. The club’s unique space allows for different themes in each room – bootlegging in the Library, a DJ in the South Room, live music in the Ballroom and plenty of speakeasy vibe throughout.
“And I like large parties. They’re so intimate. At small parties there isn’t any privacy.”
Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby
Tickets are $75 for members and $100 for non-members, and last year the party accommodated more than 400 people. The Gatsby party has introduced several of Nashville’s young professionals to the City Club and generated not only new members but bookings for private events such as weddings and rehearsal dinners.
Club members can elect to partake in a three-course members-only dinner in the Grill Room and pay a small charge ($25) to attend the bigger party in the rest of the Club. The dinner is $85 per person with a $40 course-by-course wine pairing. View the New Year’s Eve Dinner Menu and Pricing
