Claris Networks, Tennessee’s largest IT service provider, was providing service in the cloud before “the cloud” was cool and shares something with the City Club, says David Castro, the company’s regional director in Nashville.

Both are high-touch organizations that place a premium on customer service, says David, who joined the club in November 2012.

Claris provides managed IT services and hosting, with data centers in Knoxville, where it is headquartered, Chattanooga and Nashville. The company acts as the IT department for small and medium-sized companies, either on-site or in the cloud.

Recent acquisition of MindLinx Technology Solutions in Nashville expands its footprint and capacity in Middle Tennessee. Claris already had a solid base of health care clients and adding MindLinx, which specialized in health care, was a natural, according to Claris officials.

Claris is growing fast. In 2012 the company was named to the Inc 5000 roster for the fourth consecutive year with a three-year growth rate of 105 percent. MSPmentor.net recently ranked the company as the 39th managed service provider globally, up from 45 the previous year.

David joined Claris about a year ago, working out of the Knoxville headquarters to start. He was the company’s first representative in Greater Nashville, though with acquiring MindLinx the group is up to 10.

“We put together expertise, experience and disciplined processes, all backed by relatively significant resources when compared to our peers in the industry. Our customers get very consistent, high-touch and high-performing results on a long-term basis.”

High-touch customer service also is a great feature of the City Club, says David, who joined after hearing about the club at technology-related networking events around Music City. He’s hosted an executive meeting here as well as conducted multiple meetings, some over lunch, with business partners and customers.

“It is difficult to find a nicer setting, and the service they provide is top notch,” David says.
