To all the newly engaged… congratulations on your recent engagement! Now that you have the ring, the next big thing on your list should be selecting a date and venue. When you sit down with Google and type in “Nashville Wedding Receptions” the list is, to say the least, a little daunting! In the midst of deciding between indoor – outdoor, plated – buffet, pink – purple, a decision you may not be sure how to make is blank slate – all-inclusive.  So, what’s the deal?

Well, blank slate is exactly what it sounds like… a blank slate. In “blank slate” venues you have the flexibility of creating your own completely unique style, décor and catering options. While the opportunity for creativity is greatly increased, the need to organize and plan every detail simultaneously increases. For instance, if you forget salt & pepper shakers, you could end up with eternally under seasoned food!

On the other hand, an all-inclusive venue provides a range of services for your big day. For instance, at the Nashville City Club, we provide everything from plates and glassware to filet mignon and mimosas.  As an all-inclusive venue, our room rental fee covers the cost of all of your tables and chairs, house white linens, flatware/glassware/plates and setup & teardown. Translation: our all-inclusive pricing, without the per fork charge, makes it easier to determine the price of your event and gives you a clear, concise bill that, line by line, details the cost of hosting your event at the Club.



In addition to the items covered in the room rental fee, the City Club requires certain food & beverage minimums be met, depending on the room and day of the week.  For each event at the City Club, we will work with you to create a custom menu designed to suit your taste, vision and budget.  The same idea applies to our beverage options – from a full, hosted bar to a cash bar or drink tickets, there are a multitude of options available to our clients.
