The Nashville City Club went on a “Sunset Safari” at the Nashville Zoo last Thursday night. With more than 800 tickets sold, guests were welcomed by their animal hosts to enjoy music, food and fun. Nashville restaurants, caterers and bakeries were on hand to serve various treats. Chef Toby chose a delectable chilled roasted summer corn and hibiscus soup with Benton’s bacon relish as well as a brown sugar-cured ham roll with a raisin and apple chutney. Special guest Jack Hanna also entertained patron party members in the Jungle Terrace with his stories of more than 50 years working with animals. All funds raised at the event will benefit the Nashville Zoo, from supporting education programs for children to feeding its collection of over 1,300 animals.
